JULIA SHELL

Julia brings a diverse range of experience and a love for education to her role as an Education Specialist at the Science Mill. Growing up surrounded by museums, Julia’s love for education began early, as her mother was a museum educator. This early exposure inspired Julia to pursue a career in education. She spent several years teaching at nature-based art camps, fostering creativity and hands-on learning in outdoor settings.

Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in early childhood education. Her background includes working in a variety of educational settings, from preschools and daycares to nature-based learning environments. Julia's multifaceted experience allows her to connect with students of all ages and inspire a love for STEM education.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys ceramics, hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She’s excited to inspire curiosity and learning in children through the Science Mill’s innovative exhibits and programs.
