Santa Claus is coming to Johnson City, TX! If you're out visiting the lights in town, stop by Memorial Park at Main Street and Avenue G.

Our favorite Cowboy Santa will be hanging out in the gazebo ready to see everyone. Visits with Santa are no charge. Be sure to bring your phone or camera to snap your photos with Santa!

Calling all engineers! Straight from the North Pole, we have an imPASTAble challenge for you: build the tallest, strongest tower to support our very own Science Mill Elf! It’s a test of creativity and skill, using only dry spaghetti noodles and marshmallows. Are you ready to accept this amazing challenge?

This free Christmas/Holiday Lights display is an event you can't miss. With over 2 Million Christmas lights, this display is so big, NASA reported seeing it from space!

• Come out before sundown, walk our historic downtown with your family, enjoy local food, beer, wine, and festivities in a family fun atmosphere.

• Holiday lights will continue to glow in Johnson City from dusk to midnight,

Get ready for the enchanting Christmas in Comfort, a beloved holiday extravaganza set to captivate visitors in the Texas Hill Country on November 30, 2024. This festive event, renowned for its holiday shopping and family-friendly activities, has grown from its humble beginnings to now feature over 130 vendors showcasing arts, crafts, and delightful food offerings. The festivities unfold from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering a full day of joy. Join us in celebrating Christmas in Comfort, where the lighted night parade steals the show at 7 PM.

ABOUT THE LEANDER ARTFEST

The City of Leander Public Arts and Culture Commission is orchestrating an enchanting celebration of creativity and community spirit – A Fall Fantasy Festival. This vibrant Art Festival is set to transform Lakewood Park into a canvas of imagination on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Nestled amidst the inspiring backdrop of the Sculpture Trail, the festival will showcase an array of local talent with booths featuring artists from Leander and across Texas. Attendees can look forward to a day filled with interactive activities, captivating entertainment, delectable food, and enlightening art workshops.

In the spirit of the season, we invite families and art enthusiasts to don their most whimsical “Fall Fantasy” costumes and accessories, adding a splash of magic to the festivities.

Come out to Balcones Canyonlands NWR for this free family fun event! Featured activities will include archery, fishing for catfish, becoming a Junior Firefighter, shooting BB guns, nature art, live reptiles, a Birds of Prey show, and so many more! The Food Dood food truck, The Rush Coffee truck, and Kona Ice will also be available for purchase! Thanks to our great partners including the Friends of Balcones Canyonlands NWR, Oak Ridge Archery, Last Chance Forever Bird of Prey Conservancy, AfroHerpkeeper, Good Water Master Naturalists, Highland Lakes Master Naturalists, Balcones Canyonlands Master Naturalists, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, and the Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery.
