Welcome to a new school year and a new Homeschool Days series! Kick things off at our Meet n’ Greet event on Thursday, September 23 from 10am-2pm at the Science Mill. Enjoy refreshments and hands-on science activities, catch up with friends, make new ones and chat with Science Mill educators about doing science at home. We’ll share details about the updated STEM Scholars program and preview our Labs on the Go kits—now available to STEM Scholars for at-home use! Whether you’re new to Homeschool Days or a returning Scholar, all are welcome. Event is included with general museum admission, no reservation required.
The Science Mill’s monthly Homeschool Days (October-May) give students and their adults a chance to explore a STEM field in greater depth through activity stations, exposure to STEM careers and age-based Learning Labs for grades K-12 led by Science Mill educators. Students can expand their engagement by joining the STEM Scholars program, which provides admission to all Homeschool Days, a reserved spot in Learning Labs, a program T-shirt and exclusive access to purchase Labs on the Go kits for at-home use.
Please note that masks are highly recommended while indoors for all visitors ages 5 and up.
