You know what that means — exciting, hands-on experiences that explore these seriously awesome creatures, their environmental impact, and the careers that deal with studying and protecting sharks. Come join us this July for some summer shark fun!
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
Shark & Squid Dissections - Visitors will have the opportunity to observe one of our Education Specialists conduct a hands-on dissection of a Spiny Dogfish, providing a close-up look at the animal's anatomy. During this experience, guests will gain insight into the basic facts about the Spiny Dogfish, as well as an understanding of the functions of its different organs and how they contribute to the animal's survival in its natural habitat.

Shark Game Show - Do you like sharks? Do you like game shows? What about a game show about sharks! Visitors can join in on this Shark Week game show hosted by the Science Mill at scheduled times throughout the week. Guests will answer a number of questions to see how knowledgeable they are about shark facts.
Tuesday - Friday 11:30am, 2:30pm, 3:00pm, and 4:00pm
Sharks on Shore - Guests will learn about chemical reactions and sharks as they make their own lava lamps using Alka-Seltzer tablets, baby oil, and fun decorations!

Color Changing Squids - Have you ever wondered how squids or other cephalopods change color so quickly? Guests will learn how this happens while creating their own Color Changing Squid thaumatrope to take home with them!
