About BEST and FRC
The Best Robotics Team (BEST) and the First Robotics Competition (FRC) are both robotics programs that aim to inspire students to pursue STEM careers:
BEST: The BEST competition was created in 1993 by two Texas Instruments engineers to promote engineering, science, and technology. The focus of BEST is on developing leadership and team collaboration skills.
FRC: The FRC was created in 1992 by FIRST to inspire high school students to become engineers. FRC teams work with professional engineers to develop and compete with robots they design themselves.
