Winter Break at the Science Mill
What better way to “make merry” than with DIY activities at the Science Mill this Winter Break! Come make, explore, experiment and more with 50+ hands-on science exhibits—including the newly upgraded Colossal Robotic Hand and immersive 4D virtual reality experience. The Science Mill will be open daily from Monday, Dec. 20 through Friday, Dec. 31 (closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25). Catch festive pop-up activities for all ages starting Dec. 29 through Dec. 31 from 10am-2pm.

DIY Light-up Gingerbread House
Sugar, spice and circuitry! Build your own gingerbread house ornament out of sheet foam, then learn how to wire a circuit of LED lights to make it shine.
Snowstorm in a Jar
Take molecules that won’t mix and add a chemical reaction (plus a pinch of glitter) to create a little piece of the North Pole you can take home.
Winter Watercolor Science
Experiment with water-soluble inks to create dreamy swirls of colors, then explore the concept of symmetry to cut a unique snowflake. This cozy craft is great for all ages, but especially our youngest scientists.
Let it Code, Let it Co-o-o-de!
Join Anna and Elsa for a Frozen programming adventure. Stack blocks of computer code to help them skate across the ice, then get creative coding intricate snowflake patterns.
