Design, test and problem solve alongside special guests from the Austin branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). They’ll help you turn everyday objects into engineering marvels as you explore the engineering design process and the collaborative nature of engineering.

Activity 1: K'nex Challenge- At this station, guests will explore the engineering design process with K’nex. Example challenges will be stationed at the activity for guests to choose from.

Activity 2: Earthquake Challenge- Guests will become structural engineers and attempt to create a tower or structure using cardboard pucks that can survive an earthquake! After guests build their structure, they will place it on our Earthquake Shake Table to see if it can survive!

ASCE will cover FREE admission for the first 200 guests to Engineering Day! Tickets can also be purchased at the door when you arrive; advance tickets are not available for this event.
