Lian Sing

As the Communications Manager, Lian is the storyteller of the Science Mill. She oversees all internal and external communication channels for the organization, including social media, TV, radio, and print. A writer by training with a background in biology, she is passionate about translating complex ideas into accessible and exciting stories.

Much of her free time is spent studying new recipes or writing poetry. She has been published or is forthcoming in Black Warrior Review, petrichor, Meridian, Quarter After Eight, Unbroken, The Journal of Southeast Asian Ecocriticism, Voice & Verse Poetry Magazine, The Literary Apprentice, and elsewhere. Her first chapbook Revelations was published by Factory Hollow Press. She was born and raised in Manila, but she currently lives in a tiny home on wheels in central Texas.

Her favorite exhibit is the Silo of McKays.
